We get asked by a lot of companies that we work with 'What do you think of our branding / logo?' Sometimes you have to think 'It looks like Stevie Wonder was responsible for it' but other times you think, actually, it's a great eye catching and simple representation of your business.

A good logo is so much more than just some generic graphics, colours and a font on a screen. It needs to represent the business, but it needs to do it in a quirky, interesting and memorable way.

Memorable is the key here. You need customers to see the logo which heads up your brand and immediately know it links to your business and vision. This is why all the best logos are so so simple. There's no confusion here.

The key things to check with your logo (if you're thinking of a new one, want to rebrand your existing business or starting up)

  • Simplicity - Keep your logo design simple. There's no need to complicate things here
  • In Keeping - If your company has colours already, use them!
  • Memorable - This is an important one. Every time you eat an Apple, what do you think of?
  • Relevant - If you're in the restaurant business, don't use an anvil as your logo!
  • Timeless - Something that's not going to be cool and relevant one minute then dated the next. Think Velour seats and Vinyl roof's!
